We promote sustainable living, and we make it as easy as possible for local families to support one another.
Little Village is based on a really simple model:
We make it as easy as possible for parents to donate unwanted good quality pre loved clothes and equipment. We hold regular donation events, and we also work in partnership with schools, playgroups, cafes and faith organisations so that people can bring their donations to places that they already go to.
Our team of volunteers sorts and organises the donations, preparing them for families who need support.
We locate these families through promoting our service with local professionals such as midwives, health visitors, family support workers, social workers, local charities, and faith organisations. These are the professionals who have a really deep understanding of which families are most in need of Little Village’s support.
We are building partnerships with other local networks such as Transition Town Tooting and Streetlife, and we will also grow our network of local business supporters over 2016. If you are a local business who would like to be involved please do get in touch!
